Rahul gandhi

Rahul Gandhi is an Indian politician who is a member of the Indian National Congress, one of the major political parties in India. He is the son of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi and the former Congress President, Sonia Gandhi. He has served as a Member of Parliament representing the Amethi constituency in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament, from 2004 to 2019. He was also the President of the Indian National Congress from December 2017 to July 2019. He was a Member of the Indian parliament’s standing committee on external affairs and the consultative committee on defense.

In the General Election of 2019, he lost his seat to Smriti Irani of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and resigned as Congress President. He has been leading the Congress campaign for the general election in 2021 and also campaigned for the state assembly elections in 2021. He has been known for his speeches and rallies against the government and has been critical of the government’s policies.
